The exhibition ‘Life and Death’ is made up of a selection of more than 70 paintings, ceramics and pieces from Miquel Barceló’s collection, ‘a journey not only through his work but also through his life, he said. The exhibition demonstrates once again that any element under the brush or hands of Miquel Barceló is transformed into a unique and profound symbol.
The president thanked the artist for inviting her to attend the inauguration and praised Barceló’s work, whom she described as an ambassador of the Balearic Islands around the world. Prohens also highlighted the Government’s firm commitment to contemporary art and culture. ‘We want to be recognised for this too, and we are very excited about developing projects that attract the attention of the whole world,’ concluded Prohens.
