Health opens BitCita to vaccinate with the booster dose against Covid-19 for those over 60 years of age.

The Conselleria de Salud y Consumo opens the digital self-citation system BitCita citavacunacovid.ibsalut.es to vaccinate with the booster dose against Covid-19 for those over 60 years of age. Those under 60 years of age vaccinated with Janssen (25,910 people) will also be able to make an appointment. The Health Service will begin vaccination today in the afternoon.

This group has a target population of 100,769 people (78,528 in Mallorca, 9,379 in Menorca, 12,154 in Ibiza and 708 in Formentera).

The conditions to be fulfilled in order to receive the booster dose are to be 60 years old or older, to have received the complete COVID-19 vaccination schedule and that at least six months have passed since the last dose in the cases of Pfizer or Moderna or three months in the case of Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) or Janssen.

The vaccination points available through BITCITA are: Hospital Son Dureta, covidexpress of Inca, covidexpress of Manacor, Hospital Universitario Son Espases, Hospital Universitario Son Llàtzer, Hospital Comarcal de Inca and Hospital de Manacor in Mallorca. In Menorca, vaccination will be carried out at the health centers. In Ibiza at the Hospital Can Mises, the health centers of Sant Antoni de Portamany and Santa Eulàlia and the Hospital de Formentera.

BITCITA is still available, until December 12, for the vaccination campaign with booster doses for all health and social-health professionals, also professionals of residences, children’s centers, health inspectors, professionals of home care services and day care centers, dependency professionals, health and social-health care students, staff of penitentiary centers, drug addiction centers, occupational workshops, forensic and legal medicine departments, auxiliary staff and other health professionals.
