In this way, Salut continues to make points available to citizens to access the COVID-19 vaccine -a free, universal and effective service- and to extend the protection of the population as much as possible.

Both sites, each with a capacity to vaccinate 1,500 people a day, will be open on Saturday and Sunday, from 8.30 am to 7.30 pm, with specific lines for the 5 to 17-year-old population and lines to immunise accompanying adults. This makes it easier for the whole family to be vaccinated.

In addition, vaccinated children will receive the corresponding certificate of bravery and will be able to have their photo taken at the photocall of the brave ones. In addition, on Saturday Sonrisa Médica will animate the vaccination in Manacor and on Sunday in Francesc Quetglas. Both days, between 10.00 am and 1.30 pm.

The Espai Francesc Quetglas is located at Carrer Manacor, 156, near the Palma Fire Station, and has its own car park for users. It is worth remembering that this space also vaccinates children from 5 to 11 years of age on weekdays. It is done by appointment, between 14:00 and 20:00 hours. Adults are vaccinated during the mornings.

The Manacor vaccination centre is located at Carrer Jaume Domenge, 23, next to Plaça de Ramon Llull. On weekdays it operates from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, by appointment. In the mornings it vaccinates adults and in the afternoons it vaccinates children.

It is also worth remembering that anyone over the age of 18 can now go to citavacunacovid.ibsalut.es to make an appointment for the booster dose.

The conditions that must be met in order to receive the booster dose are to have received the full course of vaccination against COVID-19 and that at least five months have passed since the last dose, in the case of Pfizer or Moderna, or three months in the case of Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) or Janssen. In addition, people who have passed the infection must wait four weeks before they can be vaccinated with the booster dose.

As for the vaccination of young people, the current coverage of the full vaccination schedule among 16-19 year olds is 91.2 %, and 83.49 % among 12-15 year olds. In the case of children aged 5 to 11 years, whose vaccination began in mid-December, 36.23% have received the first dose and 3.26% have received the full course.
