This is what Spanish cinema looked like at the Oscars. It couldn’t be for Bardem or Penélope Cruz. The triumph went to Spaniards Alberto Mielgo and Leo Sánchez, who won the Oscar in the best animated short film category for ‘El limpiaparabrisas’ (The windscreen wiper). Mielgo is the director and Sánchez the producer of this short film.
