Workers, electrical installation technicians, fitters, decorators, carpenters, divers, plumbers, security and transporters, among many other professionals from different fields, are taking part in the assembly of the show, organised by the IDI, an entity dependent on the Vice-Presidency and Regional Ministry of Energy Transition and Productive Sectors, and BYBA, working to get the venue ready for the show, which will be the first of the season for the nautical sector.

The Vice President and Minister of Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, Juan Pedro Yllanes, stresses that “the organisation of the Palma International Boat Show not only benefits the nautical sector but its assembly and holding also involves the participation of many local companies and suppliers of different services”.

One has to take into account the added difficulty of creating a fairground outside and at sea, as all the infrastructures have to be set up from scratch. The assembly at sea involves the incorporation of more than 200 metres of the floating line for the mooring of boats and the circulation of visitors.

In addition, the floating walkway has also been installed, which will connect the Consigna breakwater with the Fishing Industry Wharf in a circular route. The walkway is 72 metres long and 5 metres wide.

It should be remembered that, on the occasion of the Palma International Boat Show, the Contramoll Mollet road has been closed to traffic today until 3 May at 8 pm.
