The Mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno, and the Councillor for Culture, Alice Weber, together with the town’s booksellers, presented the programme for the Festa del Llibre 2022 in Plaza España today. Year after year, the city council of the capital of Raiguer promotes this initiative to promote reading, especially among children, and to bring literature closer to the public.

“We are very happy to be able to recover this holiday and to be able to carry out a full programme of activities on the occasion of Sant Jordi. We have organised a whole series of events aimed at people of all ages so that everyone can enjoy the Festa del Llibre”, says Weber.
Today, Thursday 21st April, the Festa del Llibre activities will begin with the presentation of “Les rondalles que l’Arxiduc no va publicar” by Caterina Valriu, winner of the Premi Mallorca d’Assaig 2021. The presentation will be given by Tomàs Vibot. On 22nd April at 7.30 p.m., the XXIII Jornades d’Estudis Locals d’Inca 2022 and the volume of the XXII Jornades 2021 will be presented.

The poster of the Book Festival 2022 is the work of Abril Martorell, a student of IES Berenguer d’Anoia. This secondary school organises a competition among its students every year to select the image that will illustrate the poster.
