Inca celebrates Pancaritat 2022 tomorrow, in Santa Magdalena

Inca City Council, along with the rest of the organisers and participants, has presented the events that will take place as part of Pancaritat 2022, next Sunday 24th April. This festival returns after two years without being able to be held in person, due to restrictions to cope with the COVID-19.

“We are very happy to be able to recover this tradition and to be able to celebrate the traditional pancaritat in Santa Magdalena once again with everyone’s involvement. We are sure it will once again be a day of brotherhood with a lot of participation”, explains the councillor for Participation, Andreu Caballero.

The Pancaritat 2022 events will begin on Saturday night with the traditional ballada popular a càrrec dels Revetlers des Puig d’Inca and the bonfire with a torrada popular. In addition, a line-dancing trobada will be held afterwards by the Morro brothers.

On Sunday there will be a gathering in the Santa Maria la Major square at 9:30 a.m. with the ringing of the bells and the pealing of the xeremies. At 11 a.m. the fiesta will begin at the hermitage with popular children’s games. Meanwhile, at midday, the XLIX Paella Competition will begin on the lower esplanade and the solemn Eucharist. At 12.45 there will also be a musical performance by the Unió Musical Inquera. On the other hand, the evening will begin with the ballada popular, performed by the Revetlers des Puig d’Inca.

Once again, as it does every year, the Inca Town Hall will provide a free coach service for those attending. The entrance will be from 10 am to 1.30 pm from Avinguda dels Reis Catòlics and Plaça del Lledoner; and the departure will be from 4 pm to 6 pm from the lower esplanade.
