\ This initiative is part of the new reference framework for digital competence in teaching.

On 27 June, the Sectorial Conference Agreement on the Accreditation of Digital Teaching Competence linked to the Framework of Reference for Digital Teaching Competence (BOE 16 May) was approved. This agreement defines the ways of accrediting teaching digital competence, which will be specified in future regional regulations.

Among these accreditation channels is teacher training. It is for this reason that CEP IBSTEAM is designing a training proposal for the next school year in which training will be offered based on the six areas of digital competence in teaching.

These training will be offered in the educational centres as in-school training and as field training with periodical calls. The details of this training will be sent to the schools during the month of September.

To this end, the CEP IBSTEAM has organised the training of around one hundred teachers from all the islands who will act as speakers for the training sessions at the end of the academic year. Training sessions have been held in Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca.

In this training, the participants have become familiar with the Framework of Reference for Digital Competence and have developed activities based on the six areas of the framework: 1. Professional engagement, 2.

This action is funded by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and by the European Union NextGenerationEU, in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan Facility.
