\ €645,000 will be invested in the renovation of cameras and technical materials for the news services of the broadcaster.
\ It has also authorised the expenditure of €895,000 over four years for the rental of 36 vehicles for the news programmes.

The Consell de Govern has authorised the Ente Público de Radiotelevisión de las Illes Balears to spend €645,919 on the purchase of cameras and accessories for the production of IB3’s news services.

The internalisation process requires the purchase of equipment that until now was provided by the companies awarded the contract, in order to continue offering news services under the same conditions.

The internalisation is expected to come into effect on 1 February 2023, so the Govern continues to prepare for this milestone and authorises the broadcaster to plan for the renewal of new equipment.

Furthermore, also in order to move towards internalisation, an expenditure of 895,388 euros has been authorised in favour of the public broadcaster for the contracting of 36 vehicles for four years, from 1 February 2023 to 1 February 2027, to ensure the necessary mobility of the radio and television news team.

With these investments, the Govern is working on internalisation in order to continue with news services that are prepared, strong, stable, and with the need for staff to work under the best working conditions in order to offer a quality and independent public service.
