The IBE, an entity dependent on the Vice-Presidency and Regional Ministry of Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, led by Juan Pedro Yllanes, presented the project this Thursday to the residents of the municipality of Sineu. The project will be located in the municipal warehouse and, once it is up and running, will allow those homes and businesses within a one-kilometre radius of the installation to feed themselves with energy generated by the facility.

Thus, selected families will have access to clean energy produced by solar panels. Users will pay kilowatt per kilowatt at cost price and zero kilometre.

The public registration procedure will be open between 1 and 31 December 2022 and will allow the selection of individuals and companies that will be able to consume electricity from the photovoltaic installation for a period of one year, extendable up to four years, at which point a new call for applications will be opened. In addition, work will be carried out with the Social Services Department of the City Council so that families from vulnerable groups can benefit from the social advantages of this project.

The project

The project is located in the municipal warehouse, with a power of 50 kW, which will be able to reach a total of 40 households and five companies, in addition to the municipal consumption. In addition, a total of 49.18 tonnes of CO2/year in emissions will be avoided.

The cost per kW is €100 and is expected to produce a return of around €375 in energy, producing a clean saving of €275/year per kW.

The company Punt de Servei Elèctric, SLU obtained the highest score. The tender budget was €61,163.5 plus VAT, and this company won the tender with a bid of €43,727 plus VAT.
