The Town Council of Inca has ordered the project of the new nursery and primary school, carried out by the Balearic Institute of Infrastructure and Educational Services (IBISEC). In this way, the consistory has launched all the procedures to start the tender for the construction works.
Last February, the Board of Education and Vocational Training, IBISEC and the City Council of Inca signed a collaboration agreement for the financing and execution of construction works for a new CEIP in the municipality of Inca, for 5.1 million euros. As part of this agreement, the town council of the capital of Raiguer is committed to advancing the amount in full so that the project becomes a reality during the 22-23 school year. In addition, it also stipulates that the Town Council will be responsible for bidding, awarding and supervising the works, which could begin in a couple of months.
The new CEIP of Inca will be the fourth nursery and primary school in the municipality. “After many months working together with the Government of the Balearic Islands, and taking steps to enable the construction of this new centre, a key project for our city that will respond to the school needs of Inca,” emphasises the mayor of Inca. Virgilio Moreno.
For her part, the councillor for Education, Alice Weber, emphasises that “there are many families waiting for this CEIP for a long time and that is why, as we did from the beginning, we will continue to do everything in our power to try to speed up the construction of the new CEIP and make it a reality soon.
