Mercy Storytelling
The Misericordia storytelling reaches its halfway point with more than 600 attendees. Like every year, the Biblioteca de Cultura Artesana of the Consell de Mallorca goes out into the garden to encourage reading among children when the warm weather arrives. This year’s programme includes eight sessions that combine theatre, music and fun by the Espill Teatre company.
Next week, 10th August, at 6.30 p.m., the service resumes with the story ‘N’Estel d’Or’, a little girl who her new mother and sister bully, until one day she meets three little old women who make her a very magical request. In addition to this one, there will be three more days of storytelling at the Centre Cultural la Misericòrdia: on the 24th of August, ‘El viatge de na Posidònia’; on the 7th of September, ‘Les coses que somii’ and, finally, the last session will be on the 21st of September with ‘Sense trepitjar’.
These activities take place in the garden from 15th June to 21st September. They take place on two Thursdays of each month free of charge. It is a consolidated initiative that last year already gathered more than 1,100 attendees throughout the summer.
