The president of the insular institution is one of the more than 5,000 pilgrims who have walked on foot to the Sanctuary of Lluc from many villages of Mallorca.

XLII edition of the Pujada a Lluc a Peu de la Part Forana

The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, has participated in the acts of the Festa de Lluc a Peu, on the occasion of the ascent to the Sanctuary from many of the villages of Mallorca. Galmés arrived early in the morning at the Sanctuary of Lluc, coming from Cala Figuera, in Santanyí, and after walking almost 80 km. There he was received by Llorenç Gelabert, president of the Association of Old Blavets of Lluc and Antoni Solivellas, mayor of Escorca.

Once arrived at the Sanctuary, the president of the Consell de Mallorca made a wreath, along with the president of the Government, Marga Prohens. Afterwards, a solemn mass for pilgrims began, officiated by Mn. Marià Gastalver, prior of Lluc. It should be remembered that this edition of the Pujada a Lluc a Peu de la Part Forana, has been carried out normally thanks to the efforts and the financial contribution of the Consell de Mallorca and has been a success of participation, with more than 5,000 pilgrims who wanted to take part in this day of sport, nature, culture and tradition.
