\ The Conselleria de Educación y Universidades allocates one million euros more to this call for the academic year 2023-2024.

The Consell de Govern has authorized the expenditure of 2,265,817 euros derived from the call for travel grants for students from the Balearic Islands, registered on the island of Mallorca, who attend university studies in the European Union during the academic year 2023-2024.

Students who can benefit from these grants must meet certain minimum requirements in terms of the credits for which they must have enrolled and must be students residing in Mallorca who have to travel outside the island to pursue official university studies, provided that they cannot do these studies on their island of residence as students of the University of the Balearic Islands or the centers that are affiliated.

For this call for aid, the 2024 budget has incorporated the credit to continue improving the conditions of students who have to move outside their island of residence for their university education and has increased the item by one million euros with respect to the call for the 2022-2023 academic year, reaching three million euros for all the islands, of which two million come from the CAIB’s own funds and one million from the insularity fund.

In the case of Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, the Govern de les Illes Balears signs agreements with the island councils of each of the islands, which directly manage the grants.
