Aid for sports clubs participating in state-level competitions will for the first time include travel expenses by land

The Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports, through the Directorate General of Sports, has opened the call for applications for aid to sports clubs in the Balearic Islands with individual and collective sports teams that participate in state-level competitions during the 2023-2024 season for an amount of 1,670,000 euros. For the first time, land travel of team members outside the Balearic Islands is eligible for subsidy.

Eligible expenses

The competitions must appear in the official competition calendars of the corresponding national federations, or international federations in the case of teams participating in international circuits. In the specific case of collective sports, they must be regular leagues, play-offs or top category cups. In the case of teams participating in international circuits, the competitions must be listed in the calendar of the international cycling federation. In addition, they must take place between 1 August 2023 and 31 July 2024.

The object of the subsidy is the registration costs of sports clubs corresponding to their participation in national category competitions in the 2023-2024 season. The aim is to support sports clubs in the Balearic Islands with individual and collective sports teams that participate in official state category competitions of the different federative calendars.
