The vice-president of the Consell de Mallorca and councillor of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, stressed “the importance of supporting initiatives like this one, which decentralise culture and bring great artists to the municipalities of Mallorca”.

For his part, the Mobofest communications director, Toni Jaume, explained all the new features of this eighth edition. Julieta Venegas will be the great international attraction of the 2024 edition of Mobofest. The Mexican singer, internationally renowned for hits like ‘Me Voy’ and ‘Limón y Sal’, won a Latin Grammy a few months ago for Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Tú Historia’ (2022, Lolein Music) and has just released the single ‘Qué Más Da’ together with the Catalan Rigoberta Bandini. Venegas is sure to thrill the audience at the Parc de n’Hereveta, where she will arrive this summer with a new album.

Valeria Castro has also been nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Author’s Song and will also be at Mobo 24. The Canary Islander, who is only 24 years old and has only released one album, has already made it to the top of the best albums of 2023 rankings in music magazines like Mondosonoro, and promises to offer a brilliant performance in Porreres. Socunbohemio’s pop and Ludwig Band’s folk-rock complete the line-up.

Maria Jaume, Maria Hein and Joan Miquel Oliver, all three with new albums, lead the wave of local groups that will also be performing at Mobo 24. As every year, the festival brings together very fresh and diverse musical styles. This year, Balearic groups such as Guille Wheel & The Waves, Pitxorines, Red -who will give their farewell concert-, Anna Picornell, Ànimos Parrec, Negro, Xisk, Caspary, Masé Jara and Kate will also be in Porreres.

All these groups are added to the already confirmed Mujeres, Guillem Gisbert, Reïna and J. Bordoy, and there is still one more headliner to be unveiled that, for now, the festival has left unknown. Tickets are on sale through the TicketIB platform.
