ITB in Berlin

To this end, the tourism offer of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera will be present at ITB through a stand of almost 600 m2 coordinated by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, through the Tourism Strategy Agency (AETIB).

It is the same stand that was used in the last edition, which is inspired by the Posidonia Oceanica, so characteristic of the Mediterranean, and with a firm commitment to sustainability, both in all its materials and in the entire construction process.

At the Illes Balears stand at ITB, the Island Councils of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera will be present, with their stand, as well as various island councils and private co-exhibitors (Roig Drive Mallorca, Clevertryp Transfers, OK mobility, Melià International, Blau Hotels and Adramar incoming).

For the sector to be able to hold business meetings at the fair in an organized manner, AETIB has once again set up a table reservation system at the stand, which has been previously communicated to tourism companies so that they can use it to schedule their appointments.

Presentations and meetings with tour operators

As for the trade fair activity, various presentations will be held at the Balearic Islands stand. On Tuesday, March 5, at 10:30 a.m., the President of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, and the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzà, will present the new tourism strategies of the Balearic Islands to the German media.

Then, at 11:30 a.m., the island councils of Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera will present their main tourism innovations for the German market in 2024 at ITB.

On Tuesday 5, at 5.15 p.m., to promote the local product and highlight the PDO and PGI of the Balearic Islands, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment will make a presentation on “The Almond of Mallorca and its link with the island”.

On the other hand, on Wednesday, March 6, the Balearic delegation to Berlin will hold several working meetings with the main tour operators of the German market. They will take place at the stand from 10.00 am and will continue throughout the morning.

These meetings will serve to know first-hand how the tourist season is presented for this market, as well as to transfer the new tourism strategies of the Balearic Islands. The meetings will be with tour operators such as FTI Touristik, Alltours, Der Touristik, RTK and Schauinsland.
