13.5 million euros to fund innovative and sustainable projects

The aim is to seek, implement and digitise innovative and sustainable solutions for tourist establishments in the Balearic Islands.

The Consell de Govern has authorised the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport to finance innovative projects through cooperation to seek, implement and digitising sustainable innovative solutions in tourist establishments in the Balearic Islands, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the Next Generation EU funds, to the value of 13,632,302.21 euros.

The purpose of this call is to direct tourism activity in the Balearic Islands towards improving the competitiveness of the tourism sector through the development of sustainable tourism, mainly taking into consideration the preservation and conservation of tourism resources, ensuring the correct use that guarantees the durability, conservation and maintenance of the natural, cultural, artistic and social legacy of the islands, and that contributes fairly to economic growth and general welfare.
