Hospital Comarcal de Inca’s Citizen Participation Committee

The management team of the Hospital Comarcal de Inca, headed by the manager, Francisco Ferrer, and with the assistance of the director general of the Health Service, Javier Ureña, met with mayors and councillors from the municipalities in the centre’s area of influence as part of the Citizen Participation Commission, which meets annually. During the meeting, the health centre’s management team took stock of the healthcare activity and presented the strategic lines of action for 2024. The meeting was attended by representatives from the town councils of Alcúdia, Búger, Campanet, Costitx, Escorca, Inca, Lloret, Lloseta, Llubí, Mancor, Maria de la Salut, Muro, sa Pobla, Pollença, Santa Margalida, Selva, Sencelles and Sineu.

The manager of the health centre highlighted the activity carried out during 2023, with 5,549 surgeries performed, 46,765 first consultations, 58,017 diagnostic tests, 46,262 hospital stays, 76,294 emergencies attended and 783 births performed.

Ferrer made special mention of the efforts made by the more than 1,150 professionals at the centre, who have lived with the works that have allowed the ICU to be enlarged and a new rehabilitation area to be created.

The Hospital Comarcal de Inca has been assigned 137,512 health cards.
