The new day centre in Alaior has been put out to tender for 1.170.544 €

This infrastructure was declared an investment of regional interest by an agreement of the Consell de Govern of 10 November 2023. According to the deadlines set, the construction of the new day centre is expected to begin in the summer of this year and to be completed in the first half of 2026.

30 places and 986 m²

The Alaior day centre will have 30 places and, in terms of design, will have a surface area of 986 m², with a total built surface area of 587 m², of which 516.51 m² are enclosed and 71.05 m² open. The building is rectangular with a practically flat topography.

The building is distributed around a courtyard, allowing all the spaces to be located on the exterior façades and the main private uses to be oriented towards this courtyard. The three main rooms (multipurpose room, rest room and physiotherapy room) are located on the south façade, facing a waterproof porch. These three spaces can unify and generate a common space. At the highest point of the plot is the main access (Carrer de Sa Bassa Roja), where an ambulance loading and unloading area is planned. The architectural firm that was awarded the contract was Tomàs Montis Sastre, with whom the contract was signed in June 2023.
