The modification of the home telecare service for people in a situation of dependency is approved

The number of potential users and the need for more professionals have been recalculated and the budget has been maintained at 11,017,749 €.

The modification aims to give new impetus to this service to move it towards an advanced telecare service.

The Consell de Govern has approved the forecast of the benefits and services that the Conselleria de Familias y Asuntos Sociales must provide during the year 2024. The Director General of Care for Dependency issued a report on the need to modify the forecast of the technological home telecare service for people in a situation of dependency. This report concludes on the need to give new impetus to this benefit to achieve the universalisation of this service as well as to gradually incorporate new benefits towards an advanced telecare service. This implied a recalculation of the number of potential users and, therefore, also the need for more professionals. The initial duration of the concerts was set at 2 years.

The modification of the home telecare service for people in a situation of dependency is approved

In this way, the call for entities that provide the home telecare service for dependent persons foresees that the agreement will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024 and that the budget will remain at €11,017,749.60 (VAT included) for the three years. The distribution of devices and prices would be as follows:

  • No. of devices:
  • Basic telecare: 11,000 terminals per month by 2024; 12,000 terminals per month by 2025; 12,000 terminals per month by 2026.
  • Advanced telecare: 7,000 terminals per month by 2024; 9,000 terminals per month by 2025; 11,000 terminals per month by 2026.
  • Price of the service to be contracted:
  • Basic telecare: €14.38/month (excluding VAT), and €14.96/month (including VAT) for the period between 1 October 2024 and 31 December 2024; €16.01/month (excluding VAT) and €16.65/month (including VAT) for the period between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025 and €17.66/month (excluding VAT) and €18.37/month (including VAT) from 1 January 2026.

Advanced telecare: according to the specific needs of each user an average of €23.50/month (excluding VAT), and €24.44/month (including VAT) for the period from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024; 25.29 €/month (VAT excluded) and 26.30 €/month (VAT included) for the period between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025 and 27.09 €/month (VAT excluded) and 28.17 €/month (VAT included) from 1 January 2026.
