The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities, through the Balearic Institute of Educational Infrastructures and Services (IBISEC), has today put out to tender the extension works of the CEIP Es Molins, located in S’Arracó, Andratx. This project aims to expand the existing school with the construction of a new free-standing pavilion, with a completion period of 9 months.

Educació puts out to tender the enlargement of the CEIP Els Molins de S’Arracó in Andratx

The new pavilion will house four classrooms, including a covered outdoor corridor and an outdoor space for classroom extension. The extension programme includes three infant education classrooms, each with a bathroom, and a multi-purpose room that can be used for psychomotor skills or a dining room with a small office-kitchen, which can be used as a catering service.

The existing building has a floor area of 362.70 m² and the extension has a floor area of 405.05 m², making the porches 100% compatible.

It should be remembered that this extension has been made possible by the agreement of the Consell de Govern of 22 May 2023, which declared the investment to be of regional interest. Subsequently, on 10 May 2024, the Consell de Govern authorised the expenditure of 855,364.48 euros to carry out the works.
