A group of 15 young people from all over Spain participated in the volunteer camp “Equality with Action: building a fair future”.

The programme “Equality with Action: building a fair future” seeks to promote gender equality and diversity among children and young people through playful, educational and awareness-raising activities. In addition to working towards a fairer and more egalitarian society, this set of actions aims to allow participants to get involved in youth actions and awareness-raising activities carried out in the municipality.

The young participants, who come from all over Spain, will attend different training workshops and will design an awareness campaign to be carried out in the towns of the municipality, as well as develop recreational and sporting activities that will give them a much closer perspective of Balearic culture.

Programme of volunteer camps

The volunteer camps programme has a budget of almost €80,000, provided by IBJOVE and with the collaboration of the town councils of Santa Maria, Alaró, Calvià, Inca and Sóller. Likewise, a total of 15 young people from the Balearic Islands will do so in other autonomous communities (4 in Galicia, 4 in Navarre, 2 in Madrid, 2 in Catalonia, 1 in Aragon, 1 in the Basque Country and 1 in La Rioja).
