All the training offered by PalmaActiva is free of charge.

PalmaActiva will offer around sixty training activities between September and December, which means offering more than 1,000 hours of training. New technologies, languages, nautical, commerce, hotel and catering… these are just some of the areas in which PalmaActiva offers employment training.

PalmaActiva will offer around sixty courses during the last four months of the year

The training offered by PalmaActiva is of varying lengths -between 2 and 120 hours- and is aimed at different groups -job seekers, active workers and entrepreneurs-.

These courses aim to cover the training needs of people living in Palma so that they can improve their position in the labour market.

The selection criteria are based on the enrolment questionnaire – it is advisable to provide as much information as possible – and priority is given to being registered in Palma; in the event of equal conditions, the order of pre-enrolment is also taken into account.

During the first half of this year, PalmaActiva has held 56 courses (2,518 hours) and has had 760 students. Lupe Ferrer, councillor for Economy, Commerce and the Self-employed, stresses that the results of the surveys ‘indicate that student satisfaction with the courses is 9.35 out of 10’.

The councillor for Economy, Commerce and the Self-Employed adds that in the last quarter of the year, PalmaActiva will also offer 3 certificates of professionalism (CP): a level 2 CP in small business management activities (530 hours), a level 1 CP in basic bar and restaurant operations (290 hours) and a level 1 CP in surface and furniture cleaning (280 hours).

Currently, PalmaActiva is also providing 5 mixed training and occupation programmes, in collaboration with the SOIB, through which professional certificates are obtained.
