Donations for the preservation of the Camí de Cavalls

The donation, which will be used to renew part of the signage on the path, aims to make a return for the protection of the historic path, used by Elitechip for the Trail Menorca Camí de Cavalls sporting event. The money comes from the Fira d’Estocs events of the Menorcan avarcas company and the contributions of the participants in the race.

The ceremony to present the donation cheque was attended by the councillor for the Environment, Biosphere Reserve and Cooperation, Simón Gornés, and the island’s director of Sustainable Projects, Toni Periano, accompanied by Pedro Castell, director of Avarca Castell, Marina Tejero, head of Marketing and Communication at Avarca Castell, and Guillem Bosch, founder of Elitechip.

‘The Camí de Cavalls is one of the jewels of Menorca’s historical heritage and a public resource that we are all working together to preserve. This public-private collaboration is a good example of the importance of the path for all of us who use it,’ said Gornés.
