The EMT has proceeded to make a series of modifications and adjustments to its bus lines to cover the lines that have been affected by the withdrawal from service of 12 articulated buses following fires in the engines of two of them.

EMT readjusts bus lines and frequencies

The Deputy Mayor for Mobility, Toni Deudero, explained that at the moment the frequencies on the different bus lines are as follows after the latest urgent measures taken to ensure transport safety:

• Lines A-1 A-2 of the 18 services/day, 2 services are abolished.
• Line 1 of the 5 services/day, 1 service is cancelled.
• Line 3 of 8 services/day, 2 services are abolished.
• Line 4 of 23 services/day, 3 services are abolished.
• Line 7 of the 12 services/day, 1 service is abolished.

Deudero concluded by pointing out that ‘all these changes will be made on working days, as the same services and frequencies will be maintained at weekends. As vehicles become available in the workshops, they will be reincorporated into the service immediately.
The EMT reminds users that they can consult the different services and frequencies through the usual systems on the website of the council and the EMT of Palma and the MobiPalma applications.
