Inesita, as she likes to be called by her friends, was in charge of representing modernity together with her more than 300 students of the Rhythm Nation Inca Dance Academy on Thursday 2nd September. The motto of the Inauguration of the Thursday Daily Bulletin was “Modernity and Tradition”. The event was attended by various representatives of public and private entities and institutions. Among them, the British vice-consul and the vice-consul of the United States confirmed their attendance. It was the British vice-consul in the Balearic Islands, Lucy Gorman, who was the most attentive spectator at the performances, commenting on the subtlety and good work of Inesita’s students.
The public institutions were represented by: Víctor Martí, Mayor of Binissalem, Joan Rotger, Mayor of Selva, Miguel Ángel Cortés, Delegate for Local Economy, Tourism, Promotion of the city, Communication and Digital Transformation, Catalina Cortés, Councillor for Festivities, Commerce, Citizen Participation of the Binissalem Town Council, Lucy Gorman, British Vice-Consul in the Balearic Islands.

What would you highlight from the Inauguration of the Thursday Daily Bulletin?
Being able to be the ambassadors of Inca in front of the British Vice Consul in the Balearic Islands, Lucy Gorman.
This is where we were able to demonstrate our biggest difference, which we find in each and every one of the people who make our existence as a dance academy possible. Our students are considered in a personalised way in order to enhance, discover their skills and passions, but with an overall vision and this was visible in the course of the performances.
Education, good manners and elegance in life together with the motto “Mens sana in corpore sano” is one of our maxims. Objectives that we share with Thursday Daily Bulletin and that bring us closer to our city Inca.
What impression did British Vice Consul Lucy Gorman make on you?
We saw her enjoying the performances. We were struck by her approachability. As Lucy is the mother of three children, I think I appreciate the value of these activities that allow for more interaction.
She was very approachable and is a highly professional woman and in my view a great ambassador, from her position as British Vice-Consul in the Balearic Islands, for England.
We enjoyed the experience so much that we would love to meet her again. We think that our 300 students will appreciate this direct contact with England, from the hand of a wonderful person.
As a great ambassador of Inca in the world of dance, what are your next important events?
Our upcoming events are linked to our mission from which we identify ourselves with functions and actions that define us as a dance academy specialising in urban dance in the heart of Mallorca. Our vision has transformed the Academy into a social centre, a big family. A community of 300 students and their families.
Our upcoming events will be led by more than 15 highly trained teachers, national and international, with more than 20 styles to choose from, for all ages and levels. Commercial, Krump, Queen, House, Twerk, Afro-Fusion, Ballet, Salsa/Bachata, Acrobatics and many other styles.
This need has become a responsibility to transmit our experiences and encourage interaction in an increasingly impersonal world.
With Inés’ permission, we reveal the secret of the origin of Rhythm Nation’s name. It comes from Janet Jackson’s song of the same name, so we are sure we are in the right place at the right time “People of today’s world are looking for a better way of life. We are part of the Rhythm Nation.
