The final was held this weekend in Eivissa, with the attendance of the Director General for Children, Youth, Families, Equality and Diversity and the Director of IBJOVE.

Mare de Déu, by Jeroni Puigrós, and Tem, by Diego Poncelet, won second and third prize, and Dansa Abissal, by Margalida Batle, a special mention.

Guaret, by director Josep Alorda, won first prize in the Art Jove short film competition at the final held on the night of 13th September at the Baluard de Sant Pere (Eivissa). The prize consists of 3,000 euros and another 7,000 euros to finance a new short film.

The second prize of 2,000 euros went to Mare de Déu, by Jeroni Puigrós, and the third prize of 1,000 euros to Tem, by Diego Poncelet. Dansa Abissal, by Margalida Batle, was awarded a special mention, with no prize money.

The jury was chaired by the film director and screenwriter David Mataró and comprised the actress Aina Frau; the film producer and director Nofre Moyà; Helher Escribano, director of the Ibicine Festival; and Maria Badia, winner of last year’s short film competition.

The final on the 13th was attended by the director general of Children, Youth, Families, Equality and Diversity, Farners Saneiro, and the director of IBJOVE, Tomàs Amer, ‘This year’s winners are a good example of the level and quality of the proposals of the young filmmakers of the Islands’, said Saneiro, ‘and of the path they have ahead of them’. Saneiro and Amer thanked the Eivissa Town Council for its collaboration in holding the final.
