The Hospital Comarcal de Inca awards the purchase of new diagnostic technology for more than 1.3 million euros

The total investment made for this important high-tech renovation is €1,308,287 (VAT included).

The Radiology Service will have three completely renovated X-ray rooms with improved image quality. Each room will have a detector so that lower limb and full spine telemetry will be possible in each of them. The total cost of the rooms is €804,045.

Radiology will also have a monitor and respirator compatible with a magnetic resonance field, costing €142,035, and a new surgical arch, bringing the number of surgical arches to three. This will speed up operations on the lumbar spine and the implantation of port-a-caths and pacemakers, which have been carried out at the Hospital Comarcal de Inca since last February. The cost of the surgical arch amounts to €118,580.

One of the three ultrasound scanners awarded will also be used for Radiology so that it will now have three rooms for ultrasound scans. Of the other two, one will be for Rheumatology and the other for the Endocrinology Service. The total cost of the three ultrasound scanners is €127,225.

The plethysmograph, a device that measures parameters to diagnose lung diseases, will go to the Pneumology Department. The amount is 116,402 €.

The Hospital Comarcal de Inca thus fulfils its objective and commitment to technological renovation due to the obsolescence of the equipment.
