Consumo recommends that people affected by the closure of 3B’s shops keep all documentation

People who had bought in these shops have been affected, as they have not been delivered the products they purchased (mattresses, sofas, canapés, etc.) and the company does not refund the amount paid. These affected persons are unable to contact the company.

It is also advisable that they file a complaint with the company. It is necessary to explain what has happened and to give precise details of what is being claimed (refund of the amounts paid, termination of the contract signed, etc.). It is advisable to enclose with the complaint the documentation that justifies your claim.

Financing and payment of the purchase

If the purchase has been financed with a consumer credit offered by the establishment and linked to the purchase, those affected can contact the financial institution to inform it of the closure of the activity, request the suspension of the issuing of the bills and the refund of the part of the financing paid, in accordance with the provisions of Law 16/2011, of 24 June, on consumer credit contracts.

Complaints should be addressed directly to the financial institution’s Customer Service Department, whose contact details are usually published on the website. Complaints must be accompanied by a copy of the documentation proving the contractual relationship with the two entities.

If the financial institution does not meet the claims of those affected, after a complaint to the selling company, legal action may be brought against the financial institution in the courts of justice.

If the purchase has been paid for by credit card, it is advisable to contact the financial institution to find out about the possibility of cancelling the charges.

Consumers can also contact the official bar association of their autonomous community of residence to request and, where appropriate, receive free legal aid, if they meet the requirements to be beneficiaries.
