Maximum coordination in terms of security for Fairs and Dijous Bo

During the meeting, the special arrangements for the Fairs and Dijous Bo were defined to ensure maximum coordination between the different security forces. In this regard, Mayor Moreno pointed out that ‘as every year, we are going to develop a special plan and we will have the necessary personnel so that during these weeks of maximum affluence in our city, public safety issues are well covered’.

So, for yet another year, during the three fairs and on Wednesday and Dijous Bo, reinforcements, a special traffic plan, and new parking areas will be set up around the city’s different nerve centres, in addition to the new park-and-ride car parks that are already up and running.

In addition, during the meeting, the Guardia Civil and Local Police briefly reviewed the figures for complaints and actions carried out during the first quarter of 2024, and once again, it became clear that the Inca remains one of the most stable and safest cities in Mallorca. In fact, the Guardia Civil has stated that the crime rate in the capital of Raiguer has fallen by 6% compared to the previous year.

On the other hand, data from the Inca Local Police also show a decrease in complaints during 2024, data that coincides with the report published a few weeks ago by the Ministry of the Interior. Likewise, the increase in the number of police on the streets has also been highlighted.

‘According to the statistics of the Local Police and the Guardia Civil, we can assure that Inca is a safe city and this is mainly due to the good coordination that exists between the different security forces operating in the municipality. In addition, over the last few years we have also made a major effort to increase the resources of the Local Police and consolidate the workforce to be able to carry out more actions and increase prevention and surveillance tasks,’ Moreno explains.
