The Government increases by 10,000,000 euros the subsidies of the Investment Plan for the Energy Transition for actions aimed at individuals

In addition, ‘given the extension and the good reception of the aid for individuals, the Government has approved an additional 10,000,000 euros, making a total of 25,500,000 euros earmarked for this call,’ explained the Councillor for Enterprise, Employment and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro.

For his part, the Director General of Circular Economy, Energy Transition and Climate Change, Diego Viu, added that ‘this budget increase, together with the extension of the deadlines for the aforementioned calls, will allow us to cover the sustained growth in the demand for aid for self-consumption for citizens, while ensuring compliance with the milestones and objectives set, among which is a minimum of 60 MW of installed capacity by 2026 and, thus, increase the additional renewable energy production capacity in the Balearic Islands’.

The distribution of the amount of the call for natural persons is as follows: 4,471,490.15 euros allocated in 2024, 17,000,000 euros will be distributed in 2025 and 4,028,509.85 will be executed in 2026.

The extension of the deadlines for carrying out the actions envisaged in the other calls for proposals also entails a redistribution of the amounts available for each year. Thus, in the case of aid aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, there are 1,614,906.85 euros for 2024, 7,000,000 for 2025 and 1,385,093.15 euros for 2026.

As for the subsidies aimed at homeowners’ associations, the budget per annuity will be distributed as follows: 53,827 euros in 2024, 4,000,000 euros in 2025 and 3,946,173 in 2026.

Finally, for installations in industrial estates, 60,000 euros are allocated in 2024, 8,000,000 euros in 2025 and 6,940,000 euros in 2026.

All these calls are included in the Investment Plan for the Energy Transition of the Balearic Islands (PITEIB) and seek to promote the installation of self-consumption, with or without electrical storage, with renewable energy sources, as well as thermal renewables and energy efficiency actions in lighting and pressure equipment for water supply to communities of owners. These investments are financed within the framework of the actions foreseen in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union ‘Next Generation’.
