Son Llàtzer managed to reduce the surgical waiting list to less than 95 days, which represents an improvement of 27.82 % compared to 2023
In addition to this significant reduction in waiting times, the Hospital has reported a 9.73 % decrease in the number of patients awaiting surgery: in 2023 there were 3,064 people on the surgical waiting list, while in October this year, this figure has fallen to 2,766 patients.
One of the most noteworthy data is the improvement in the number of patients waiting more than 180 days for surgery, where a reduction of 41.96% has been achieved: in 2023 there were 684 people in this situation, while up to October 2024, there were 397.
Hospital officials attribute this improvement to the implementation of the new i-Migjorn information system, which has optimised data management and facilitated decision-making in all hospital areas. This progress, together with the joint efforts of all the centre’s professionals, has been the key to achieving these results.
