For the implementation of the ECU, the Hospital has hired five doctors, who will work both in the Emergency Department and in the new Unit.

To set up the SSU, the Hospital has hired five doctors, who will work both in the Emergency Department and in the new Unit.
The objectives of the UCE of the Hospital Comarcal de Inca range from improving the availability of beds in the Emergency Department to reducing the pressure on other hospital services, such as surgical and medical services.
The SSU can treat any type of urgent illness (urological, digestive, cardiac problems, etc.) that meets the admission criteria, i.e. a foreseeable average stay of less than 72 hours, and that do not require complex complementary tests.
With the implementation of the UCE, the Hospital Comarcal de Inca aims to reduce the average length of hospital stay without affecting clinical safety, quality of care or patient satisfaction.
