Red.es – an entity attached to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service – has suspended the internet domain ayudavalencia.es as a precautionary measure, due to indications of fraud and at the request of the police.

The action has been initiated as a matter of urgency, after receiving, from the Provincial Information Brigade of Valencia of the National Police, a complaint about requests from this website for fraudulent donations of financial aid, through Bitcoin cryptocurrency, for those affected by the DANA in the Valencian Community.

Spanish government blocks the website ayudavalencia.es due to indications of fraud
Immediately, and in coordination with the State Security Forces, its blocking was formally activated so that the domain would no longer be active on the Internet.
To speed up this process, Red.es has requested the collaboration of the country’s main telecommunications operators to immediately block their customers from browsing this website, with the aim of preventing access to it and preventing citizens from falling victim to this type of cybercrime. All this has been done in the framework of the police investigation, which is still ongoing.
