The aid, for an amount of 31,320 €, is to reduce the social exclusion of drug users.

The aim is to bring and expand the range of resources available to the group, responding to health, psychological and social degradation.

Health awards a grant to Médecins du Monde for the TROBADORS-INRED project

The Consell de Govern has authorised the Minister of Health, Manuela García, to grant a direct subsidy in favour of the organisation Médicos del Mundo de las Islas Baleares for an amount of thirty-one thousand three hundred and twenty euros (31,320.00 €), to partially finance the project ‘TROBADORS-INRED, harm reduction and social inclusion in the face of social exclusion’, charged to the general budgets of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands for the financial year 2024. The Government authorises the advance payment of 100% of the aforementioned subsidy.

The project ‘TROBADORS-INRED, Harm Reduction and Social Inclusion in the Face of Social Exclusion’ is aimed at people who inject drugs and who are at risk of social exclusion. It was created as a bridge between the street and the existing social and health resources, to bring closer and extend the offer of resources to the group, responding to the health, psychological and social degradation they suffer.

It is based on harm reduction, health promotion and the promotion of the participation of the beneficiaries, as well as on raising awareness in society to bring about social change.
