The island institution, through the Serra de Tramuntana Consortium, organises visits to estates, cultural routes, and product tastings throughout the year.

The Consell de Mallorca, through the Serra de Tramuntana Consortium, is organising a programme of activities called ‘Viu el patrimoni’ (Live the Heritage), aimed at the general public, to bring cultural and heritage values closer to them. The programme, which offered outings from June to December, was distributed among the 20 municipalities in the official UNESCO delimitation and is divided into three main cycles: visits to estates, cultural routes and product tastings. A total of 317 people have visited the different sites under the guidance of experts in the Serra de Tramuntana, such as Tomàs Vibot, Antoni Ordinas, Biel Ordinas, Aina Mora and Pere Jover.

In this area, a total of 12 activities have been programmed for 2024 in collaboration with the cultural management company Més Cultura: Wine tasting in Son Puig (Puigpunyent), visit to Miramar (Valldemossa), tasting in Son Moragues (Valldemossa), route through Moscari (Selva), tasting in Can Xoroi (Fornalutx), route through s’Ull de s’Aigua (Estellencs), visit to Verger (Alaró), wine tasting in Mortitx (Escorca), visit to Son Vic Vell (Calvià), route through Binibona (Selva) and route through Biniarroi (Mancor de la Vall).

The Serra de Tramuntana island director, Antoni Solivellas, emphasizes that ‘the “Viu el patrimoni” program is a good opportunity to showcase the cultural values of the Serra de Tramuntana, not only from the point of view of the landscape, but also from that of the producers and processors. It should not be forgotten that it is the agricultural and livestock farming in the Serra de Tramuntana that has allowed the immense wealth of the Serra de Tramuntana’s heritage to reach us today’.

The Consortium is currently working on the 2025 edition, with more outings to emblematic places in the Serra de Tramuntana. It should be noted that, given the limited number of places available, and given the popularity of this initiative, one or two weeks before each activity the Consortium’s website will offer the possibility of making reservations, from which a raffle will be held.
