The Museo del Calzado y de la Industria de Inca will open the exhibition Alfabeto Lottusse by the renowned visual artist Albert Pinya on the 13th of December. This exhibition results from his collaboration with the iconic Mallorcan footwear brand Lottusse, founded in Inca in 1877.
Initiated in 2023, this alliance between the artist and the Inca-based company is structured in a sequence of acts and actions that have emerged over the last two years to materialise in a collection of unpublished, limited and exclusive pieces now presented in exhibition format. The collection, entitled ‘Pinya Citrus Alphabet’, vindicates a philosophy linked to artisanal processes and manufacturing, the defence and exaltation of the territory and the local to become universal, in search of quality and excellence, the propagation of responsible dynamics and values such as identity, passion and curiosity to continue learning and evolving.

Albert Pinya exhibits ‘Alfabeto Lottusse’ at the Museo del Calzado y de la Industria de Inca (Footwear and Industry Museum of Inca)
In Pinya’s artistic practice, one of the seeds of his research and one of the singular hallmarks of his work are centred on the obsession to construct a language that can be adapted to any channel, register or medium. His transversal and versatile viewpoint proposes the interaction of artistic manifestations from everyday contexts and environments such as advertising, design, crafts, gastronomy, music, fashion, etc.
These types of exercises, which constitute the artistic/creative process from the collaborative fabric, have been and are a constant in its praxis throughout these twenty years of trajectory. Thus, collaboration, together with Lottusse, represents the crossbreeding and plurality with which to communicate and construct shared stories, from different points of view and scenarios, in an atmosphere of absolute contemporaneity.
The exhibition, which opens on Friday 13 December at 7 p.m., can be seen until 20 April. During this period there will be guided tours for groups, educational visits and a whole programme of activities for different audiences.
