The Ibemprènjove programme has a total of 67 groups from 38 schools being trained to become entrepreneurs.
The project is promoted by the Regional Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, and the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities, and is managed by ADR Balears.
Ibemprènjove, the Government’s space for promoting and supporting entrepreneurship among students, this year incorporates the primary education stage, in addition to the existing secondary and vocational training stages. Thus, a total of 10 primary school groups from 5 schools in the Balearic Islands are starting the Ibemprènjove pilot scheme this year.
The aim is for pupils at each educational stage, with the support of the teaching staff, to become entrepreneurs and create and manage their own company. The programme is promoted by the Regional Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, and the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities, and is managed by the Balearic Regional Development Agency (ADR Balears).

The Government expands the programme to promote entrepreneurship in schools in primary education
Ibemprènjove consists of four different programmes, depending on the educational stage:
- PE (Primaria Emprende): designed specifically for pupils in the fifth and sixth years of primary education, which aims to foster entrepreneurial skills from an early age. Through a set of didactic activities and interventions, pupils learn to develop innovative ideas, plan and manage projects, and present their proposals effectively.
- JES (Young Secondary School Entrepreneurs): aimed at secondary school students, who create a cooperative to develop a business idea that raises awareness about climate change, promotes a change in society, or finds technological solutions to problems detected in their immediate environment.
- JEA (Young Associated Entrepreneurs): aimed at students in basic vocational training, which simulates the creation, organisation and management of a business activity linked to the education system.
- JEP (Young Professional Entrepreneurs): aimed at intermediate and higher vocational training students, who create and manage a company based on an innovative idea that they will have to develop throughout the school year.
In addition to the 10 primary school groups, Ibemprènjove has 22 intermediate and higher vocational training groups (JEP) from 13 schools; 22 secondary education groups from 12 schools (JES), and 13 basic vocational training groups from 8 schools (JEA).
All participating projects are eligible to apply for the Ibemprènjove Awards, which recognise the effort made throughout the year, encourage the ability to work as a team and give visibility to Ibemprènjove business ideas. Each programme consists of one prize of €1,000, two runners-up prizes of €500 and four runners-up prizes of €250. The awards will be presented during the month of April.
