The Consell de Mallorca presents, this Friday, the Mallorca 2024 Awards for Literary Creation and Contemporary Photography
The vice-president of the Consell de Mallorca and councillor of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, stresses that this year the literary prizes have broken a record for participation with 454 works submitted.
The ceremony will be presented by David Ordinas and Mar Puigserver, and will feature musical performances by the group Cap Pela, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
The Mallorca 2024 Awards stand out for promoting literary creation in Catalan and, for the first time this year, also in Spanish, with an overall prize of 113,000 euros distributed among different categories such as narrative, poetry, essays, plays and illustrated children’s literature. A total of 79,000 euros in prizes will be awarded in Catalan and 34,000 euros in Spanish.
