In the first two weeks of December, FOGAIBA has paid more than two million euros from the CAP Strategic Plan (PEPAC) and the Rural Development Programme (RDP), almost 900,000 euros in State aid and more than 700,000 euros in aid from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
In the first two weeks of December, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and the Environment, through the Balearic Islands Agricultural and Fisheries Guarantee Fund (FOGAIBA), made a new payment to the primary sector of the Balearic Islands for a total amount of 3,652,272.21 euros. Specifically, it refers to the call for aid from the CAP Strategic Plan (PEPAC) for the compensatory payment for areas with specific limitations and aid from the Rural Development Programme (RDP), State aid and aid from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and the Environment makes a new payment of more than 3.6 million euros in aid to the primary sector of the Balearic Islands
Specifically, a total of 2,055,528.09 euros has been paid out in respect of PEPAC and RDP aid. Among other things, it is worth mentioning the more than 1.2 million euros corresponding to three files of Investment in Transformation and Marketing and the more than 813,000 euros of 16 files of Investments in Agricultural Holdings (INEA).
In this sense, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment, Joan Simonet, has once again remarked that, with this new payment for the month of December, ‘the Government continues to demonstrate its commitment to the primary sector of the Balearic Islands. The commitment of the Regional Ministry is to resolve all calls for applications as soon as possible. That is why FOGAIBA does not stop at any time of the year, because we are aware of the need for aid to arrive, which is the best way to support our farmers, livestock breeders and fishermen’.
As far as State aid is concerned, FOGAIBA has paid out 894,652.09 euros, corresponding to various lines of aid. Thus, it should be noted, among other things, that aid has been paid to the 15 collaborating entities, with a total amount of 168,865.80 euros, and the drought aid files continue to be paid, with an expenditure of 185,669 euros.
Finally, with regard to aid from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF), in the last two weeks the Regional Ministry has made a payment of 401,253.20 euros, which corresponds to 54 dossiers for the Temporary Halting of Fishing 2023. A dossier for Productive Investments in Aquaculture has also been resolved, for an amount of 254,209.91 euros. In addition, 46,628.94 euros have been allocated to two dossiers for the Application of the FEMP Local Development Strategy for the island of Menorca.
