/ For the first time this year, the service on 1 January will be a normal public holiday, with no reduction in the number of trains.
/ On the 26th the timetable will be that of a public holiday and extra trains will be added from early afternoon until the end of the service.

Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) will offer special night services for both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve to provide comfortable and safe transport on these festive nights, repeating last year’s service for these days, when special night services were scheduled for Christmas Eve for the first time since SFM came into existence. In addition, more train services will be offered on 26 December and 1 January.

SFM provides night trains for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and more services on December 26 and January 1

In both cases, trains will run throughout the early hours of the morning on the Palma-Sa Pobla and Palma-Manacor routes in both directions, stopping at all intermediate stations. On Christmas Eve, the first departure from Palma will be at midnight and the last one at 4 am; from Manacor to Palma there will be two services, departing at 1.20 am and 4.20 am, and from Sa Pobla to Palma there will be two other services, departing at 2.30 am and 5.15 am.

As for New Year’s Eve, the first service from Palma will leave at 0.50 am and the last one at 4.00 am; from Manacor to Palma, two services will leave at 2.10 am and 4.50 am, and the two services from Sa Pobla to Palma will leave at 2.30 am and 5.10 am.

On the other hand, this year an important novelty has been introduced in the service, and that is that on the 1st of January, a public holiday service will be offered, leaving behind the reduced timetable that has been in place for the last few years.

On Christmas Day, as was the case last year for the first time, practically the same service will be offered as on a public holiday, with 49 trains scheduled out of the total of 65 scheduled for the regular public holiday service.

On the 26th of December, the service will be the usual public holiday service, but with another new feature: this year the service will be reinforced from early afternoon until the end of the service at night, with 16 trains added to the usual public holiday schedule, which will run between Palma and Inca in both directions. This is the same reinforcement service that has been offered as a novelty this year, in force every weekend in December and ending on the 5th of January.

Likewise, as in previous years and to facilitate workers’ meetings with their families, on the 24th and 31st the regular daytime service will end earlier, even though the special night timetables will be activated on the nights of the 24th and 31st. The last regular departure from Palma will be the Palma-Inca service at 8:55 pm, and in the opposite direction, the last departure from Palma will be the Inca-Palma service at 9:40 pm.
