Primary Care registered 9.2 million consultations between January and November this year

These are medical, paediatric and nursing consultations.

Consultations with primary care professionals in the Balearic Islands have increased by 3.69% between January and November this year compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, 9,216,890 consultations have been registered, while between January and November 2023, 887,6402 were registered. By islands, Mallorca has registered 7,287,073 consultations; Menorca, 682,528, and Ibiza and Formentera, 1,247,289.

Primary Care registered 9.2 million consultations between January and November this year

Of the total number of consultations registered in primary care in the Balearic Islands, 8,228,362 were carried out during regular hours and 988,528 were for patients attended at the PAC (point of continuous care) or SUAP (primary care emergency service).

By type of consultation, the health centres and basic primary care units of the Balearic Islands have attended this year a total of 4,173,116 medical consultations, 516,751 paediatric consultations and 3,538,495 nursing consultations. In the PACs and SUAPs, 551,817 medical consultations, 16,981 paediatric consultations and 419,730 nursing consultations were attended. The average number of consultations was 16.14 per day. By type of consultation, 7,434,255 were attended at the health centre, 1,511,978 were by telephone and 270,657 were at patients’ homes.
