For the benefit of the associations Mallorca Sense Hambre and SOS Mamás

EMT Palma has delivered more than 150 toys and 410 kilos of food and other essential hygiene products, which were donated in the Christmas solidarity campaign to benefit SOS Mamás and Mallorca Sin Hambre.
A total of 410 kilos of foodstuffs, mainly non-perishable items such as rice, pasta and sugar, were collected at the EMT customer service offices in Palma and in the depots. The food has been delivered to Mallorca Sense Fam, an association founded in 2009 that attended to more than 17,500 beneficiaries last year and collaborates with other entities.

On the other hand, more than 150 new toys or toys in good condition have been collected, and delivered to the association SOS Mamàs, born in 2011 and serving more than 14,000 people a year. They were also given numerous hygiene products and necessities, such as cleaning, nappies and wipes.
Numerous people, employees of the company and also other people from outside Palma, have approached EMT Palma over the last few weeks to make a contribution, which will be channelled by these associations to their final beneficiaries, people in need due to different circumstances.

The president of EMT Palma, Antonio Deudero, the manager, Juanjo Elías, and the assistant manager, Yolanda Marín, handed over the collected material to Juan Martorell, from Mallorca Sin Hambre, and Saturnino Cantero Milla, president of SOS Mamás.
Deudero expressed great satisfaction at having been able to contribute to helping Palma’s neediest people.
It is worth remembering that since the end of November, when the campaign was launched, two EMT Palma buses have been circulating with the image of the solidarity campaign to contribute to the visibility of the initiative.
