Thursday 2 September 2021 will remain in the memory of this newsroom. This is because thanks to Fàbrica Ramis http://fabricaramis.com/, we have carried out our Inauguration.

The origin of the Thursday Daily Bulletin is the result of a project of the Digital Marketing Module of the Higher Degree in Marketing and Advertising of the IES Manacor. Modernity begins with training, we lead by example and we are always aware of the latest trends and developments.

The event was attended by various representatives of public and private entities and institutions. Among them, the vice-consul of England and the vice-consul of the United States confirmed their attendance.

It has been the first visit of the vice-consul, Lucy Gorman, to Inca, so from Thursday Daily Bulletin we thank her on behalf of all the Inca people for this visit, considering her as another friend.

Kimberly Marshall, the vice-consul of the USA, could not attend, but she has left us an emotional message in which she makes clear her good wishes and that you can consult in the following link:

The Inauguration of the Thursday Daily Bulletin has followed the “Tradition and Modernity” reigning in Inca from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day.

The tradition has been more than evident from the very scenario of the presentation. La Fàbrica Ramis was a textile factory in 1920 and became a leather goods factory in 1950. Today, modernity has transformed it into a Factory of Ideas and it has been classified as an Industrial Cathedral.

Tradition also came in the form of the performance by the group Revetlers des Puig de Inca. Considered the Mallorcan performance par excellence, embodied in the typical Mallorcan dance. We would like to highlight the careful costumes worn by its members. Most of them have worn traditional Mallorcan costumes, whose designs date back to the 19th century and which have been subtly recreated by the hands of Mateu Abdón Martorell. There were about ten typical Mallorcan dresses on display in the hall. So we have been able to appreciate them on the dancers and on the inert mannequins.
We have also found modernity through a demonstration of urban dances. Inés Sedano from the Rhythm Nation Inca Dance Academy, with more than 300 students from Inca, was in charge of introducing us to this modernity, with the help of her student community.

We have gathered on stage about fifty young Inca people between 16 and 18 years old who have taught us first-hand what Inca means to them.

All this is thanks to the two people in charge of the musical event of the Inauguration, Inés Sedano and Mateu Abdón Martorell, who together with Rosa Mª Cuerda, editor of the Thursday Daily Bulletin, have been in charge of presenting the Inauguration.
In this presentation of the Thursday Daily Bulletin, we have been able to enjoy the photographs provided by Andreu Quetglas, from his personal collection. In them, we have been able to see different curiosities and peculiarities of the city of Inca highlighting among them its musical band, in the year 1905. It is a pleasure to be able to count on Andreu Quetglas whose professional career of more than 60 years in the world of journalism defines him and leaves us literally speechless.

These snapshots were part of the life of the city of Inca, some of them appearing in the printed newspaper Dijous. This tradition gave way to the present day and led to the presentation of the digital newspaper thursdaydailybulletin.com.

The Thursday Daily Bulletin represents modernity being the tradition represented in the printed weekly newspaper that was published in Inca, before the pandemic, the charismatic Dijous.

During the presentation, we had the opportunity to hear the most intimate and personal feelings of the different representatives of these public and private institutions who showed us their particular vision of modernity and tradition.

Among them: Víctor Martí, Mayor of Binissalem, Joan Rotger, Mayor of Selva, Miguel Ángel Cortés, Delegate for Local Economy, Tourism, Promotion of the city, Communication and Digital Transformation, Catalina Cortés, Councillor for Festivities, Commerce, Citizen Participation of the Binissalem Town Council, Lucy Gorman, British Vice-Consul in the Balearic Islands.

From the business sector, we would like to highlight the presence of Juan Carlos González from mallorcatodobaile.com and the marketing managers Xavier Idevik Servera (Marketing Director) and Xisco Acuñas Ferrer (Marketing Assistant) from Don Dominio Marc Salas Manager of Intuit Gràfic intuitgrafic.es and Irene Peukes, whom our editor would like to thank for her wonderful dress, which you will find in her workshop “Pla” https://pla.org.es/, María del Mar from Quely https://www.quely.es/ together with Oscar Roses from Bodega Jose Luís Ferrer https://www.vinosferrer.com/es/bodegas-jose-l-ferrer/ close this representation of the business sector who have wanted to wrap us up on such a special day.
