The FOGAIBA paid almost 10 million euros in aid to the primary and agri-food sector of the Balearic Islands during the month of December

The Agricultural and Fisheries Guarantee Fund of the Balearic Islands (FOGAIBA), an entity under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, has paid 9,951,800.20 euros in aid to the primary and agri-food sector of the Balearic Islands during the month of December. Of the total, 7,828,610.87 euros correspond to the aids of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of 2021. This payment is in addition to the payment of 12,906,611.65 euros paid in November as an advance. For this concept, therefore, 20,735,222.52 euros have already been paid. The total number of applicants for CAP 2021 is 5,455.

As regards CAP payments, 3,866,040.47 euros correspond to the basic payment; 2,572,028.53 euros, to the green payment; 638,044.65 euros, to the sheep payment; 322. 289.27 euros, to the dairy cattle line; 211,913.40 euros, to the small farmer’s line; 103,940.68 euros, to the suckler cow line; 92,542.24 euros, to the youth payment and 5,088 euros, to the goat line.

This December, 1,278,387.68 euros have also been paid from the Rural Development Program (RDP). The most significant payment is the one that refers to investments in farms with 714,064.42 euros. 141,606.48 euros have also been paid from the line of processing and marketing of agricultural products; 105,706.02 euros from the line of pilot projects and support for the development of new products; 54,271.95 euros to the Local Action Group for Rural and Fishing Development of Eivissa and Formentera; and 34,658.86 euros from the line of cooperation between agents to develop short chains, among others.

FOGAIBA has also paid this December aid for the Common Market Organization (CMO), State Aid and Fisheries, amounting to more than 840,000 euros. These include 573,006.67 euros in CMO aid; 73,848 euros in de minimis aid for replanting trees; 57,900 euros in de minimis aid for rearing dairy cattle; 77,345.15 euros in fishing aid and 38,918.47 euros from the 2021 agricultural insurance line, among others.
