The Sustainable Mobility Department has called the exams to obtain a taxi driver’s licence for next Tuesday, 1 February. This call, which is the first of the year 2022, will be held at the Palacio de Congresos, which hosted the two tests that were held throughout last year.
The exam to obtain the taxi driver’s licence consists of different tests that assess knowledge of the location of the streets of Palma and a pot-type exam with some questions on the current regulations, the application of urban fares, the location of centres of general interest, official, health, cultural, educational, etcetera.
Last year, two exams were held, one in April and the last one in November, and a total of 104 people obtained their taxi driver’s licence. In November, 172 people signed up for the tests and a total of 148 took the exams. Of these, a total of 47 were qualified as suitable (31.7%) and 68.2% as unsuitable.
