This week Francisca Gual, a native of Inca, celebrates her 102nd birthday. As an anecdotal fact, this editor will tell Francisca that in 1922 the painter and writer Santiago Rusiñol baptised Mallorca as the “island of calm”. The largest of the Balearic Islands has the virtue of preserving places where time seems to stand still and where people live in peace and quiet. In contrast, the capital of Raiguer is a city with a chic and enterprising spirit, which at the same time boasts a classic façade with alleyways and industrial buildings that take us on a textile journey, from its focus on the production of footwear and leather accessories to the present day.
From this editorial office, we join the good wishes expressed by the City Council of Inca in their networks to this young girl.

In fact, as a significant fact and taken from the website of the Institute of Statistics of the Balearic Islands, IBESTAT, we know that in Inca there are 675 people over 85 years old. So we still have a lot of Inca people to congratulate.
Many congratulations Francisca and may you have many more happy returns.
