The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training today reported that there are currently 52 teachers on sick leave in public schools in the Balearic Islands (40 last week). By islands, 45 in Mallorca (27 last week), 4 in Menorca (9 last week), 3 in Ibiza (4 last week) and 0 in Formentera (0 last week). This figure represents 0.32% of the teaching staff in public schools (out of a total of 16,000).

On the other hand, according to data provided by the Department of Health and Consumer Affairs, the accumulated positive results over the last 7 days among the population aged 3 to 16 years is a total of 288 (270 last week). By islands, 234 in Mallorca (223 last week), 45 in Menorca (37 last week), 9 in Ibiza (9 last week) and 0 in Formentera (1 last week). This number represents 0.22% of the student body (out of a total of 129,884).

Finally, schools have not reported any quarantined groups as of today, as they did last week.
