The City Council of Inca continues to work hard to revive the neighbourhood festivities, after two years of being blocked due to the COVID-19. Thus, this weekend is the return of the So Na Monda area and on Saturday and Sunday there will be a full programme of activities, which have been presented by the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno; the councillor for Participation, Andreu Caballero; the president of the Neighbourhood Association, Guillem Coll; along with other members of the board and the town council of Inca.

“The neighbourhood festivals are for us a unique opportunity to promote citizen participation and contribute to making the city more dynamic. During the last few weeks, all the activities we have organised in the different neighbourhoods of Inca have been very well received and we hope that the So na Monda festivities will also be very well attended”, says Caballero.
Thus, on Saturday 24 September, children’s activities will be held from 6 to 7.30 p.m. followed by a Zumba masterclass with Lester. Afterwards, there will be the traditional “sopar a la fresca” in the Plaça del Bestiar with torradores service. Saturday evening will end with a verbena with Andreu Fiol.
On Sunday, 25th September, the special programme continues with the celebration of the Mercat dels Encants (Enchanted Market) during the morning. During the afternoon, a mass will be held in memory of the deceased neighbours in the monastery of Sant Bartomeu. There will also be a short concert by the Parish Choir of Sant Pere de Búger and a tribute to Blanca Buades.
The festivities of So Na Monda will end with the ball a la fresca, by Jaume Soler.
